About me
Monique Hassman serves as the GIS Coordinator and Land Information Officer for Vernon County’s Land Information Office. Trained as an anthropologist, she completed her graduate studies and earned a GIS certificate from UW–Milwaukee. Her work is driven by a deep interest in human dimensions of space and space, and she has enjoyed sharing that passion through teaching cartography and GIS at both the university and high school levels. Monique currently sits on the Wisconsin Land Information Association Board of Directors. Her interdisciplinary background in socio-spatial science, community-engaged and applied scholarship, and collaborative partnerships influence approach to land information, guiding her work from the personal to the professional.
