About me
Jess Hoffelder is a GIS Data Analyst at Northwestern Mutual, working in Field Business Intelligence. Previously, she was a Spatial Data Analyst for the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program, a nationally renowned population health data and research platform of the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute. She has presented at multiple local and national conferences, including multiple Esri User Conference presentations, and has taught workshops on the topic of using Python to automate and improve efficiency of GIS processes. Recently, she was honored to receive WLIA’s Emerging Leader award at the 2026 Annual Conference. Jess holds a B.S. in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and an M.P.H. in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
