About me
Olamiposi Caleb Fagunloye is a researcher, and environmental advocate with a deep passion for using geospatial technology to drive impactful solutions in sustainability, transportation, and infrastructure. With hands-on experience across sectors—from humanitarian mapping and environmental analysis to infrastructure development and clean energy—Caleb blends technical skill with community-focused innovation.
He has been recognized as one of Geospatial World’s 50 Rising Stars of 2025, featured among xyHt’s 25 GIS Professionals to Watch in 2025, and is the recipient of URISA’s 2024 Young Professional of the Year Award. Caleb is also a top finalist in high-impact global initiatives such as the AfricaVsVirus Hackathon, BuildforSDG Challenge (Meta/Andela), and Google Africa Developer Program.
Currently serving on the Vanguard Cabinet of the Geospatial Professional Network (formerly URISA), Caleb combines his international background and academic research with real-world fieldwork to break down barriers and build data-driven, inclusive geospatial solutions. He completed his Master's in Geosciences and GIS at Georgia State University.
